Nice to see someone included us Kit owners. Normally we we get snubbed by the VW and Real Owners, after all it is a VW at heart right? Well I hope to see more from this Forum in the future, until then..... BTW I own a FiberFab Replica of a 1952 MGTD Built on a 74 Type I with a 1600 Dual Port and Autostick Tran. http://www.tdreplica.com http://www.metrovwclub.net |

Reply with quote | #3 | [IMG]Hi all, I live in sunny South Africa JHB. I built 917 RSK Spider over a period of 4 years, looks great not many here in SA. The car is based on a shortened 1974 swing axle pan (no IRS or ball joint suspensions here in SA). It currently runs a stock 1600 SP, I'm working on fitting 76x92 motor, with Engle 120 cam, ported 040 heads with 42x37.5 valves and 2x42 DCNF Webers on Berg manifolds and Berg linkage with a 009 dizzy, the 76mm stroke crank from a 2100cc WBX. I can't wait to put the combo together, parts are very expensive here in SA so the motor is slowly coming together (it has cost me a small fortune in shipping costs from U.S.A.), all I need to complete the Motor is a set of HD valve springs and a set of cromolly push rods (can anyone help? email me at 917 RSK Spider
Wheels are Porsche Fuchs 14x6.5. I also own a STD 1971 Beetle and currently building a 1974 Cal Looker |

Quote: Genuine EMPI Brand Chrome-moly push rod set. Chrome-moly push rods are lighter than regular steel push rods and stronger. The 3/8 inch diameter tubing offers maximum strength to maintain no flex operation at higher RPMÆs under the stress of high lift cams and high-rev valve springs. Available in stock length which are fully assembled or custom cut-to-length style.REPLACES OLD # ACC-C10-5313 & ACC-C10-5260. $49.95 set
These high rev heavy-duty dual valve springs will help to prevent engine damage caused by valve float or worn and weak valve springs. Made from special silicone spring wire for high RPM applications. To install these dual valve springs- your valve guide bosses will need to be machined (easily done by any engine machine shop) and you will also need new dual valve spring retainer such as part number ACC-C10-5306 to complete the installation. $28.95 set
They have great service and ship pretty much anywhere.
Good luck! __________________ Wayne Dean
