I want to build a vw trike but do not know where to find a kit.  I prefer a mostly complete kit with frame, fiberglass shell, etc.  Can anyone help?

You are going to have to hit craig's list or the swap meets as I don't think these kits are being make new anymore, but there are still some unfinished projects out there.

There are several places that do what you want. Go to http://www.possumpridetrikebodies.com for one excellent link. Also, go to Triker Don's site he used a Subaru engine that has 180 HP compared to a VW 65HP. IT bolts right up but you would have to have Kennedy Engineering give the flywheel machine work ($400.00)

That top green one is just like my trike but it also uses a nosecone for looks and for instruments. You can talk to Jim at Possumpride about his frame kits they can bolt up perfectly but you may wish to compare dimensions with him.

The second one has a lot of benefits as far as seating positions go with it you can have a near vertical seat in the front.

Getting it upholstered is simple. The backseat is two pieces. The upholstery you see here cost me $300.00.
